This is a open wire detector powered by 2x 9V Batteries (Batteries Not Included). It detects and alerts you immediately where a circuit is open. You can quickly and easily locate short circuits, open connections, broken wires, current leaks and even trace wires.
You can also find intermittent circuit problems by flexing wires or connectors and listening for a change in the receiver tone, 7 inch flexible probe helps to reach in congested places.

Before using this device, check the vehicle's electrical wiring and disconnected any part or system sensitive to voltage and current pulses such as airbags, electronic control modules, etc.
After you finish checking the vehicle, make sure you have correctly restored all the connections which you disconnected.
Always follow the instructions and procedures indicated in the vehicle's service manual before attempting to disconnect any part of the subsystem of the electrical circuit.
